What to Expect

What's a service like?

Our worship services follow a reverent, liturgical format centered on God’s Word and the good news of Jesus Christ. Each service includes Scripture readings, a Christ-focused sermon, prayers, and traditional hymns. Whether you're new or a lifelong Lutheran, you'll find a service that points clearly and meaningfully to Christ.

What's the music like?

We sing time-honored hymns that reflect the depth and beauty of our Christian faith. Music is accompanied by organ or piano, and we value the rich tradition of Lutheran hymnody in our worship.

How do people dress?

You’ll see a variety of attire—some come in their Sunday best, others more casually. We encourage you to come in whatever you feel is respectful and comfortable for worship.

What about my kids?

Children are welcome in our worship services! We believe it’s a blessing to have families worship together. Every 2nd, 4th, and 5th Sunday, Pastor offers a brief Children's Message before the sermon. For parents who need it, we offer a parents’ room where you can still hear and participate in the service while caring for young children.

Can I take communion?

As a WELS congregation, we practice close (or closed) communion, out of loving concern for unity in faith and doctrine. If you are not a member of WELS or a sister church body, we kindly ask that you speak with our pastor before communing.

How can I get connected?

We’d love to get to know you. Feel free to introduce yourself to the pastor after the service, fill out our visitor book, or contact us through our website. We also offer Bible studies and fellowship opportunities throughout the year.

Where do I park?

Parking is available on site in our church lot. Both main entrances will lead you to the church space.

Our worship services usually include the following parts in a variety of forms:

The Invocation - We call on the name of our Savior Lord as we praise him with song.

Admitting Sins and Receiving Forgiveness - We acknowledge that we have not been or done what God asks. Then we are assured of forgiveness in Jesus.

Bible Readings - We read selections from God’s Old Testament leaders, Jesus’ apostles, and from Jesus himself.

Sermon - Our pastor offers instruction and encouragement in a Bible-based sermon for children and adults alike. Through God’s Word, you can expect guidance and grace for dealing with life's problems, and assurance of the promise of eternal life in heaven through our only Savior Jesus.

Response to the Word - We respond with offerings and prayers for what God has promised to us and for the strength to do what he has asked.

Parting blessing - Before we return home for the week, we hear one last assurance of the Lord’s gracious care.

Throughout these different parts of our service, our God gives us gifts of his grace. In response, we praise him with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs from the entire history of God's Church. During some services, our members partake of the Lord's Supper.

Our worship services use traditional forms, but modern language and application. This "blended" style of worship brings out the best of the traditional and the contemporary. The traditional brings us the best from God's Church throughout the ages, while the contemporary brings God's promises and his will into our daily lives. We hope you will enjoy both as we worship our gracious Lord together!
